Mariposa ApartmentsThese
rental units are part of the final phase of development of the Calavera
Hills Planned Community, which also includes construction of nearly 600
market-rate homes. When complete, the 300-acre community will contain
approximately 2,300 homes. The Mariposa Apartments were constructed to
fulfill an
inclusionary housing agreement with the City of Carlsbad. In addition to a contribution from the City, the project was financed using
tax-exempt bonds issued by the San Diego Housing Authority and 4 percent
low-income housing tax credits.
