The Village of Oakman Manor
Completed
in 2006, The Village of Oakman Manor is located at 14000 Woodrow Wilson
Avenue, just south of Oakman Boulevard and adjacent to the Focus: Hope
campus. Though the building is managed by Presbyterian Villages of
Michigan, the concept and development was a joint effort of Focus: HOPE
and PVM. The village has 55 apartments with wall-to-wall carpeting,
emergency call system, individually controlled heating and cooling,
fully equipped kitchens with refrigerator/freezer and stove, ample
closet space, and will be cable-ready. There are specially designed
apartments for mobility-impaired residents. Within the village are a
kitchen-equipped community room, lounge areas, library/computer room,
central laundry facilities, and barber/beauty shop. Residents 62 years
of age or older and meeting the specified income limits pay 30% of
adjusted gross annual income in rent.
